Imran Khan pens letter to Chief of Army Staff, urges national unity

ISLAMABAD: In a significant development, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has written to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) emphasizing the urgency of national unity in the context of current events.

According to Faisal Chaudhry, an advocate of PTI, Imran Khan has written a letter as the Former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The letter points out the day-to-day sacrifice of Pakistani soldiers and emphasizes how it is extremely important for the nation to stand with its army in times of crisis, Faisal Chaudhry added.

The letter, penned by the former Prime Minister, is considered a call to action for the nation to come together and support the armed forces who are working tirelessly to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the country.

The move will likely be seen as an attempt to promote unity and stability in the country, which has been facing numerous challenges in recent times.

The letter details are yet to come into the public light, but reports have it that the former Prime Minister has been advising the Chief of Army Staff to take action for national unity and cohesion.

With the country currently going through numerous challenges within the realm of insecurity, economic instability, as well as polarized politics, the appeal by the former Prime Minister in his letter to the Army Chief may be envisaged to be one for national unity and a feeling of purpose to go forward as a united nation behind the defense forces.
